While vacationing with Maria’s family this past week in Panama City, Florida, Colton became very ill with uncontrolled fever and a variety of side effects. After two trips to the ER, he was admitted the third time Thursday night. Yesterday (Friday) afternoon the decision was made to transfer him two hours away to the ICU at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Many, many tests have been done and are still be run to determine the exact cause. At this point it is believed to be meningitis and leaning towards viral. Colton is seriously ill and we ask that Colton, the family, and the treating staff all be uplifted in prayers as they seek to comfort Colton and determine what best to be done. Eric’s parents are there to care for the other children so that they can continue to be close by. Also, pray that space becomes available at the Ronald McDonald House so that everyone can be as close as possible.
