"Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did" (1 John 2:6, NIV)
Jesus' power to overcome came from His closeness with the Father. How did He achieve and maintain this closeness? How can we?
The four Gospels give us insight into what it means to "walk as Jesus did." Luke tells us that the "grace of God was upon him" (Luke 2:40). Luke also tells us that Jesus spent extended periods in intentional communication with God (Luke 6:12). John tells us that Jesus' connection with God included action. He looked for opportunities to share the water of life with other in places some were afraid to go (John 4:1-35).
Think about other insights the Gospels give us and be prepared to share the texts with us on Sabbath.
